Big Mind in the World

Third World Development

I use The Big Mind Process to reveal to the kids that they are much more than the violence, malnutrition, and hopelessness that they are living with every day. So far it has worked out beyond my expectations. Now, when the kids get stuck in a concept or idea in our philosophy class and in private therapy, I just call that voice and we all go right to the heart of the matter. I also use The Big Mind Process to empower mothers to stand up for their rights as human beings in a culture that clearly treats them as second-class citizens.

For a detailed example of how I have used the Big Mind Process with our students here, see: http://www.integralheartfoundation.org/big.mind.saves.lives.htm

I use The Big Mind Process with program directors, teachers and social workers related to their day-to-day work and also with first-world sponsors of our children to help them develop a more compassionate and world-centric perspective. A future opportunity to use The Big Mind Process will be with orphans to work on voices related to abandonment, worthlessness, and guilt and to own their own potential as the future generation of Guatemala.
