Introduction to the Eight Beliefs of Buddhism
Friday February 25 — Sunday February 27
11:00 am
— 1:00 pm MT

"My teacher, Harada Roshi, set forth eight important points regarding the study of Buddhism, which he called 'Right Belief in Buddhism.'  They are simple, yet they refer directly to the essence of the teaching. If one understands these eight points clearly he can say that he knows what Buddhism is."

          — Hakuun Yasutani Roshi (1966)

Road to Buddhahood

Hakuun Yasutani Roshi (1885–1973) summarized these essential teachings he received from his Zen Master, Daiun Harada Roshi (1871-1961).  Genpo Roshi first began teaching about these eight facets of Buddhism in the 1970s under the guidance of his teacher, Taizan Maezumi Roshi (1931-1995).

Now, with the perspective of some fifty years of study and teaching, Genpo Roshi is offering this exploration of the essence of Buddhism in this special event to which all are invited.

Open to all.

Minimum donation: $150.

This event is offered to the public by Donation thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters.  We thank them for helping us to make this available to everyone.
