Letting Go / Letting Be

5-Day Buddhayana Retreat
Saturday February 19 — Wednesday February 23, 2022

“True joy only comes after we let it all go.”
“If you can’t let it go, let it be.”

Genpo Roshi

A Zen retreat is an opportunity to experience the essence of Zen practice, which is ‘beyond words and letters.’  How do we do that?

By Letting Go and Letting Be — two teachings we can best grasp intuitively, without explanation or conceptual understanding.  Take this opportunity to explore and savor them with Genpo Roshi’s guidance, to integrate them into your meditation, your daily practice and your life.

Genpo Roshi's koan for this retreat:

1)  When we see Buddhayana (anuttara samyak sambodhi) as the Apex, then which Yanas are at the left and right corners of the Triangle?
2)  What is your relationship to the Apex (anuttara samyak sambodhi)?
3)  Which Mind is the True Mind: the lower left, the lower right or the Apex?
4)  Who is the one that is deluded?
5)  Who is it that understands and discerns what is true and what is false?
6)   Who or what keeps you stuck in ignorance?
