Every Friday night, beginning August 14, 2026, Genpo Roshi sits in his hermitage on the slopes of Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, one of the sacred energy points of the globe. His sitting is dedicated to the entire world, across continents and cultures. Whether that time on the clock is the middle of the day or the middle of the night where you are, Genpo Roshi will be sitting then, and all are welcome to join him.
Forty-five minutes of silent sitting. No lecture. No discussion. No instruction. Just sitting. A simple act of shared presence, strengthening the living web that connects us all. One mind, one heart, one world.
